Mirror

A wall reflects a mirrored place

Across from where I lay

Your image sleeps behind the glass

Nestled in the fray.

If only I’d sleep inside.

Deep within the crystal phase

My body rests with thine

We dream of days  of after-time

Out love exists divine.

If only I’d step inside.

Enlumen in the morning light

The looking glass stares cold

Shadows of our life dost cast

Within the manifiold.

If only I’d step inside.

Locked beneath the looking glass

And image o so nigh

hence I reach to hold your smile

These fingertips do lie.

If only I’d step inside.

If only I’d step outside this space

My aching heart would cure

Beyond the stretch of echoes bounds

Sweet serenity shall endure.
